Key To Staying Warm On A Cold Winter Day

On cold winter days like today I do five things to keep me nice and warm. Right when I get home I turn the heat up to seventy degrees. Then I change into my monkeys and banana s pajamas, with my furry socks. I then get my leopard blanket and bundle up on the couch, watching Christmas movies. While waiting for my mom to finish her homemade chicken noodle soup, I make myself a nice cup of hot chocolate with jumbo marshmallows. Finally, my mom brings me a hot bowl of soup when she is done. At this time I am warmer than the sun on a hot day. These five things make me feel at home since I am warm and comfortable.

Freedom Is The Best Privilege...

A privilege that I earned from my mother is freedom. She does not have to let me have a life, but she trusts me enough to let me leave without her supervision. I am basically allowed to do anything, because she trusts me enough to know I will make the right decisions. I go out to eat and to the movies all the time. I am able to leave anytime I want without her calling me every twenty minutes or have to check in. I am able to hang out with my friends and invite them over whenever I feel like it, but I have to tell her first. I am thankful to have earned this privilege because I know a lot of teenagers whose parents keep them on lockdown.

Thanksgiving :)

If I were to be responsible for preparing this year's Thanksgiving dinner, I would go all out.the table would be full of ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, greens, and rolls. The desserts would be cheesecake with strawberries, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie and rolls, and chocolate mousse pie. My mom and my aunt, the best cooks in the family, would help me prepare this amazing feast. Since Thanksgiving is about togetherness and being thankful, I would invite everyone in my life that I am thankful for and love. Then after we finished eating I would pack up all the rest of the food and take it to a homeless shelter. No one deserves to be alone on the holidays.

Change Starvation

One thing that I would change in the world would be the amount of third world places without the food to survive. It should be every city, state, and country's priority to supply it's citizens with food no matter the cost. They can fund farms for people in the community to work on and produce food. Since they would be consumers, the government would not have to pay them to work and produce goods. Businesses could donate cattle and tractors to farms that cannot afford them. If countries do not have rich soil, I would do a food drive to make sure they receive the food. As long as I have help we all can end hunger problems in third world places.

India Wants To Visit India!!

If I could travel somewhere that I have never been before, I would go to India. I would like to visit because I share the same name as the country. It has always been a dream of mine to visit every city in India when I became older. I want to experience their culture, taste their food, learn their language, and have fun. People always ask me if I have ever been to India, and my reply is, "No, but I will in the future." For this reason, I ffel obligated to visit India, and meet many differnt people. I also want to be able to use my trip to India as an example for my children to make their dreams come true.

Music Equals Life..

Many adults think music is not an important aspect of teenage life. All teens enter the stage of expressing themselves somewhere in their lifetime. Tons of teens express themselves in many different ways, but I express myself through music. Whenever I am depressed and think life is not worth living, listening to music lightens my solemn mood. Music is a way for me to escape the life that I am living. It gives me peace and helps me get through the roadblocks of life. Music does not just lighten my sour moods; it also gives me something to listen to when I am bored. I enjoy listening to music. Therefore, any adult would understand that music is important to me because it keeps me sane and it is nice to listen to. Music is my life.

If Money Was No Object..

If Money was no object I would spend my life helping the homeless. I would start out by volunteering at homeless shelters before I actually build my own. While there I would help individuals of all ages with job searching, school assessments, and to just talk out their problems or answer questions. All I want to do in life is to help the less fortunate in any way possible. After fulfilling that stage of my life I would build "The Home of Hope," whose slogan would be "We help broken hearts gain hope." When individuals come to my home I would want them to feel safe and to not have to come back. "The Home of Hope" would be a place for people to recover and move on with their lives in a positive way. I want them to know that there is a way out and all they need is guidance.

I would impact society positively. I would be removing a large population of homeless individuals off of the streets. As a result there would be less cases of panhandling, loitering, and trespassing. The middle class would also increase, while the poor population would decrease.

Cooking/Baking

I enjoy doing many things in my spare time, however I love to cook and bake. Since I was a little girl, I have always had a passion for cooking or just food in general. I loved helping my mom and aunt make dressing the night before Thanksgiving, even though I only got to sample it and pass them ingredients. They have taught me everything I know about cooking from macaroni all the way to my favorite roast with carrots and potatoes. I have not always been good at cooking, yet practice and cooking shows have made me very good.

Baking has always been another part of my passion for cooking because I love brownies, cookies, and pie I felt the need to know how to make them. Since I like making desserts, every Christmas my mom and I make homemade cookies for our family. Last year I made my mom a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting for Mother’s Day. So, good food means everything to me and my Stomach.

If She Was Still Here...

If I could change one thing that happened in my past, it would be curing my grandmother. In 2009, she passed away from brain cancer. Curing my grandmother would mean the world to me because ever since July 25, 2009 I have never been truly happy and confident. I regret not telling her I loved her even though I was not in the right mind set. She had always been there to make me smile, and remind me how beautiful I was when I thought differently. She was always there when I needed her, and we had amazing times together. My memories would not be all I have if she was cured but I would be able to make new memories with her. Changing this one aspect of my life would not only effect me but everyone who knew her. I would not have lost my best friend, nor would my mom have lost her mother. My grandmother would have meet my mom's husband and family. My siblings would not have lost another grandmother and my other relatives would not have lost a loved one.  Everyone would be happy right now. No one would mourn her lost nor visit her grave because she would be with us. She would shine her bright smile and make us all have a good time. We would all be able to add to our memories. If only she was still here...

Mother

Mother,
You are the reason
I am like no other.
You had me in the hot season,
Of summer

Mother,
You are everything to me
I would not wish for another,
You are the one and only
Mother for me.

Most people do not have you
Therefore I am grateful.
It does not matter what we go through
As long as I still have you.

You are always there
To give advice,
And tell me what to do
Therefore I want to say
Thank you!

Thank you
For always being there
To help me through tough times
I would not have made it
Without you,
So again I say
Thank you!

Dolphin :)

One interesting thing that happened this summer was when my aunt made a fool of herself at the pool. Since it was a hot summer day, she, my little cousin and I decided to rent a hotel room to go swimming. When we got there, we changed into out swim suits before we went to the pool. Because my aunt and I could not swim, we decided to play "Marco Polo".  Ten minutes later we got bored, and my little cousin challenged her to do the dolphin. He was going to show her how to do it, until she told him to move and let her work her "magic" . While she was doing the dolphin, a boy was walking to the pool. The boy saw her and we all started laughing. When she came from under the water, we were still laughing, but this time at her shocked expression of seeing the boy in the pool.

India Zh'ane

India Zh'ane
Who is she?
A girl with a smiley day
And loves a shopping spree
No...

India
Who is she?
Her name is from Sanskrit,
Meaning a body of water.
No, she is not the country
But she is a daughter.

She is independent,
Confident,
Argumentative,
and loves to smile.
She is India Zh'ane
POW! POW! POW!    (Onomatopoeia)

Zh'ane
Who is she?
India's middle name
So, that's who she must be.

Zh'ane
Her name means a gift from God
It is know in Slavic, Hebrew, and English
Meaning Jane, merciful, and gracious

She was named after
A 1990's singing duo called Zhané
By her grandmother

India Zh'ane
Always hated her middle name
As people would pronounce it
Zane like Jane
even though it was
Zha - NAY

She is magnetic    (Metaphor)
Attracted to peoples problems
And there to give advice
She always welcomes

India Zh'ane is caring,
Generous,
And friendly
But she knows how to
prevent things from going too far

She is dramatic
When she worries
She is like the Titanic   (Simile)
Sinking slowly

So,
India Zh'ane
Who is she?
She is a girl
She is me..

Positive Thinking

The most important rule that people should follow is to always think positively. The words individuals speak have power. Most people do not realize the impact of speaking and thinking positively. What they think is what they project. Some benefits of thinking positively would be receiving hope, motivation, and success. Positive thinking is the foundation for hope. This is so, because when everything is going wrong thinking positively will help them get through it, since they know something good is ahead of them. Then, after hope comes motivation which helps them stay encouraged enough to move on and achieve their goals. Lastly, people who think positively and stay motivated will end up being a well-paid successful civilian. An example of not thinking positively would be:

A boy and his basketball team is playing their second game of the season. The boy thinks that they will not win because they lost their first game. Therefore, thinking negatively led him to not being motivated enough to try. Then, not trying led him to make his teammates unmotivated and they ended up losing the game.

Positive thinking produces good fruit.
